Kim Tae-hyung, known professionally as V, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actor under Big Hit Music. He is a member of the boy group BTS. Outside of his music projects, V had his acting debut in 2016 with a supporting role in the television series Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. In 2018, he was awarded the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea, along with the other members of BTS, for his contributions to Korean culture.
