Lachlyn Ball (born July 2, 2003) is a Melbourne/Naarm-based independent director/writer, His passion for filmmaking stems from watching old classic movies with his grandpa ‘Douglas’ and studies at SAE. he has been influenced by directors David Lynch, Ingmar Bergman and David Cronenberg who helped shape his filmmaking style and exploring the human’s psyche through Carl Jung’s archetypes theory and surrealist images, His most recent short, a surreal phycological horror/thriller ‘Marigold’ showcased a major tonal shift in his filmmaking career, while also marking his debut as a writer.
