Buchanan and Cassidy con a businessman into believing they've recovered his brother's Spitfire that crashed during the war. But they become increasingly aware of the moral issues at stake as they seek to resurrect the dead.

Cassidy's original partner and mentor, Joe Deegan, arrives to ask for a new identity to escape the law. While Cassidy trusts Deegan implicitly,Buchanan has his doubts.

Cassidy is convinced that something is amiss when Buchanan decides to marry. He decides to sabotage the wedding.

A surprise revelation leads Buchanan and Cassidy to Brighton and into a dangerous web of romance, deception and violence.
