What would be an ordinary lazy Sunday in the Gosselin home is a celebratory day for the Gosselin family as they celebrate the sextuplets' fourth birthday! In this episode, Jon and Kate take the kids to a local bakery to personally decorate their very own birthday cupcakes. The only problem is Mommy and Daddy won't let them eat their special treats until after dinner! Now as four-year olds, will the sextuplets be able to exercise patience or will their love for a sweet birthday treat get the best of them?

The Gosselin kids are growing up quickly, and it's time they learned about their background. In this episode, Jon decides to teach his children about their heritage by cooking a delicious, traditional Korean meal for the whole family! He even takes them to the Asian Market and teaches them about Korean food as he shops for the perfect ingredients for his Grandmother's Korean recipe. The Gosselin kids get a treat when they visit Sesame Place, and are personally greeted by Elmo, Big Bird and other furry characters from the childhood television staple, Sesame Street! In this episode, they tour the set of Elmo's World where Elmo plays with them and gives them lot of hugs and kisses. Also, the Gosselin family learns a new meaning to the phrase "Sunny Days" when the intense heat of this summer day creates the temptation for major meltdowns. Every child's favorite tank engine stops in for a visit in near the Gosselin household, prompting Jon and Kate to take their Thomas the Train-loving kids to see him. Jon and Kate now face the issue of trying to please differing age and gender groups. Will the girls have fun interacting with Thomas too or are trains more of boy thing? Also in this episode, Kate deals with the reality of how recognizable their family has become to the public and the newfound stress that comes from family outings like this.

At the ripe age of four, the sextuplets wonder where they came from and how they got a start in this big world. Jon and Kate decide to show them the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where they spent their first several weeks. They meet the doctors and nurses who were there on their birthday. They'll even get to have a sleepover in the condo that Mommy and Daddy lived in during their stay in the NICU!

The Gosselins also embark on a safari at the nationally renowned Wild Animal Park within the San Diego Zoo. After several days of travel, the Gosselins finally arrive in Hawaii, and they are ready to discover the reputed beauty of the 50th American state. Jon and Kate say goodbye to the house where their children spent most of their young lives, and the family embarks on a new chapter of life. But they must first get there. Can they pull off such a large move with little conflict, or will the immensity of moving a family of ten, increase the usual stress and frustration associated with moving?

After a recent move and lots of unpacking, the Gosselin kids decide to get some fresh air and get out of the house! While Kate's away in the Big Apple, Jon and the kids set out to explore and hike in the woods near their new house. With walking sticks in hand, they're off on an outdoor adventure! Will all the kids enjoy the great outdoors or will there be inevitable meltdowns?

Jon and Kate have successfully moved themselves and their brood to a new, more spacious house. Although the big move is over, there's lots of work to be done! As they begin to transform a new house into their new home, the kids play and explore the new property. The Gosselin German Shepherd puppies, Nala and Shooka, are growing rapidly. Though they hardly resemble puppies anymore, they're still as curious as can be! But too much curiosity causes an unexpected visit to the vet for one of them. How will the family handle this scare with one of the new family members?

The Gosselins had more tears than smiles to share the first time the Gosselin family went skiing together. A year later, the Gosselin family has learned from their experiences. Jon and Cara head out to Utah to experience some more winter fun on the slopes, while Kate wisely hangs back with the rest of the clan.
