Meyer is acting like a cock doing mating season. This leads to a lengthy discussion about birdsong between the tenants of the house. Clausen suggest that they go on a bird watching trip. Olsen takes the role as chairman of planning, Meyer signs up to be the samaritan, and Egon will provide the liquid refreshments.

Egon, being very interested in international relations, is studying French and ends up falling in love with his teacher, or maybe the teacher made him interested in those relations to begin with.
