But at only 950 square feet, this small house has some big issues. The mother-daughter team runs into trouble when sagging floors lead to an unsteady structure. Despite the problems, they forge ahead, intending to create a more functional floor plan that will turn the house into a charming bungalow perfect for any first time homebuyer.

A couple that runs a nonprofit benefiting the Garfield Park neighborhood enlists Mina and Karen to make over one of their dilapidated properties. The team must work together to make sure the home comes in under budget and helps an artist in need.

Mina and Karen are back in the Bates-Hendricks neighborhood for a different kind of home renovation; an old garage on one of their existing rental properties is the ideal location to build a tiny home for Mina’s brother, Tad.
