I’ve always enjoyed working and keeping busy, and for the most part have a hard time taking it easy. Anyone who knows me knows I only have one speed. Making a conscious effort to slow down has been a bit of challenge, but the farther along I get in my pregnancy the more instinctual it’s becoming. The love is difficult to describe but she already means the world to me. Even if she’s forced me to wear diapers before I’ve gotten the chance to change hers…ha

Most men don’t understand what it’s like to be pregnant and that can be frustrating, especially when they have opinions on how we should navigate labor and postpartum. Luckily, I think I found a way for Matte to walk in my shoes… as least for a minute.

I know, I know, I said I didn’t want a baby shower but I changed my mind, my friends can thank me later. It was fun to let loose and see my family before I’m on travel lockdown. Everything is finally coming together...but of course being my daughter, she’s keeping me on my toes and switching up my birth plans.

It’s one thing after another in this last phase of pregnancy and being faced with a c-section is not something I ever wanted to consider. I’m really hoping these final doctor appointments bring good news but to be honest, I’m really nervous.

The past nine months has been more than I ever imagined. Pregnancy has been one of the most exciting, challenging and physically demanding things I've ever done. It's brought a new meaning to family and my partnership with Matte - I've watched my daughter develop and grow and now I'm READY to meet her!
